Rex Energy Corporation is an environmentally responsible company that believes strongly in supporting the communities in which we operate, providing a safe work environment for our employees and protecting our environment.  Although we are subject to comprehensive and stringent federal, state and local laws and regulations governing where and how we drill wells, how waste is handled from our operations, and the discharge of materials into the environment, at Rex Energy we believe that we must be a responsible corporate citizen regardless of regulatory standards. We have in place high safety standards for all aspects of our operations to ensure the safety of our employees and the environment. In our operations, we have installed extensive pollution control equipment, followed all requirements for our industry, and reclaimed the land used in our drilling operations by bringing it back as close to its original condition as possible.

As a responsible corporate citizen, Rex Energy believes strongly in giving back to the communities in which we operate.  We have, and will continue to, support many local charities and philanthropic organizations. Over the last two years alone, our charitable contributions to our communities have included the construction of a new high school computer lab, annual high school scholarships, construction of a community playground, construction of new youth sports scoreboards, sponsorship of youth sports teams, and donations to charitable organizations including:
